Nr 319 ....5 Inflammatory Foods You Should Remove From Your Diet

1) Sugar

Want to add fuel to the fire? Eat sugar and/or highly processed foods that contain lots of sugar (REMINDER – processed foods don’t always taste sweet, beware!). It’s one of the worst foods for pain in your joints and muscles. Nothing damages the digestive tract like sugar. The medical community is starting to agree on the fact that chronic inflammation often starts in your gut, the biggest part of your immune system. You may remember being told “you are what you eat”. I believe we need to take it one step further – “We are what we absorb.”

2) Alcohol

I’m not saying I never enjoy a glass of wine or fine tequila on the rocks, but moderation is everything. Keep in mind that too much alcohol can damage your gut flora, promote yeast overgrowth, and hinder your body’s ability to detoxify. Like most things in life, the dose is the poison. Alcohol by nature is a sugar molecule combined with a fat molecule. If that doesn’t trigger an ‘aha reaction’ – refer above to #1. Alcohol ranks as one of the top worst foods for pain.

3) Grains

Refined or not, grains are very hard to digest and can greatly tax the GI tract, creating inflammation that leads to Leaky Gut Syndrome.  The problem turns inflammatory especially if you are gluten sensitive (double negative impact).  Add to this, the high levels of phytic acid and lectins in grains can hinder your ability to absorb calcium, magnesium, and other essential minerals. Granted, not everyone reacts the same to grains, however, many people ARE reacting to grains but are completely unaware. Grains are some of the worst foods for pain. The best test on the planet currently to understand if this is you is a simple genetic test.

4) Refined Vegetable Oil

Canola, soy, and corn oils (often referred to as vegetable oil) are largely genetically modified.  These oils are well documented to contribute to inflammation and pain. These oils are frequently used to cook with in restaurants and added to processed foods. Even though these oils are advertised as ‘healthy’ – DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE.  They rank as one of the 5 worst foods for pain. Leave these evil-doers alone.

5) Pasteurized Dairy

Recent research has shown that the majority of people with gluten sensitivity also have trouble with dairy.  The cows are fed chemicals and gluten containing grains.  The milk has added hormones, and when it is preserved, the process creates a casein (dairy) protein that can mimic gluten.  In addition, the process of pasteurization affects the molecular structure of the nutritional content that is found in raw, non-pasteurized milk. Like processed oils, pasteurized dairy is best left on the grocery shelf because pasteurized dairy is one of the worst foods for pain.

Nr 318 Can we Cure Cancer With Baking Soda ? YES

Dr. Tulio Simoncini says that cancer is a fungus that can be treated with baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate. This former Italian oncologist says that all cancer is caused by a fungus called Candida albicans.

This Rome doctor has the most simple remedy for it, baking soda.  This cheap common compound will alkalize the body, which will attack the Candida, shrink the tumors forming and stop metastases.
Candida will make the body more acidic.  Those who have high amounts of acid in their bodies are more likely to get ill and not be as healthy as individuals that do not have such an acidic body. However, this doctor, who was once very well respected,  is not one that many will follow these days  in Italy as they do not believe his claims:
The sodium bicarbonate will alkalize the body.  It has already been used as a digestive aid when individuals suffer from indigestion, and is used in antacids.
Many do not realize that up to 85% of the bacteria that is beneficial to the body that is found in the intestines direct the immune response. These will release anticancer vitamins, such as folic acid, vitamin K, biotin and B-12, from the foods that you eat to kill cancer cells.  But if the acidity of the gut increases, then these beneficial bacterias can not work properly.
It is scary to think that Candida albican can escape the intestines and get into the blood stream. Did you know that oregano oil and cinnamon can kill this yeast that is found?  Think about this…when a diabetic is given cinnamon, about 25% of these individuals improve as the cinnamon helps the receptor sites for the insulin to be formed in the body.
Another issue with this is that yeast only generate in the presence of oxygen.  But many times these cells have been found to switch from an oxygen based system to one that will not use oxygen to generate energy.

Nr 314 Big Pharma Fails with Alzheimer’s While Coconut Oil Succeeds

Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia are on the rise, with over 5 million people suffering from the disease in the U.S. It is costing the country $148 billion annually—and pharmaceutical companies wouldn’t have it any other way, as their profit margins continue to increase. While we tend not to worry about diseases that occur much later in life, knowing how to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s is essential. Lifestyle choices such as diet can help prevent the disease, with some research pointing to the relationship between coconut oil and Alzheimer’s – and how this oil can help prevent and reverse the problem.

Coconut Oil and Alzheimer’s – Coconut Oil Helps the Body Produce Ketones

Big Pharma was not on Steve Newport’s side when he began experiencing progressive dementia at age 53 and later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Doctors put Mr. Newport on Alzheimer’s drugs like Aricept—a treatment already proven rather ineffective and which often comes with overwhelming side effects (like all pharmaceuticals.) Eventually, Mr. Newport could neither remember how to get water out of the refrigerator nor draw the face of a clock. The pharmaceutical ‘treatments’ failed miserably.

Rather than pursue the fruitless path paved by pharmaceutical companies, his wife Mary Newport, MD, began researching Alzheimer’s itself. She found that ketones provide an alternative energy source for brain cells when they have trouble using glucose as they do in patients with dementia. Even Coconut Oil-Based Drugs are Less Effective

By then, Dr. Newport had learned of a promising drug trial for dementia. Humorously, the drug was created using a non-patentable natural substance, medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) derived from coconut or palm, since the synthetic drugs are failing – this is the drug Dr. Newport was going for.
According to recent research, when the body metabolizes MCT oil, it forms ketones that may protect against and even reverse Alzheimer’s. This is true for Parkinson’s and Hungtington’s disease; multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease; drug-resistant epilepsy; brittle type I diabetes; and type II diabetes, as well. But Mr. Newport was unable to get into the drug trial, so he began taking coconut oil twice daily.

“At this point, he could barely remember how to draw a clock. Two weeks after adding coconut oil to his diet, his drawing improved. After 37 days, Steve’s drawing gained even more clarity. The oil seemed to “lift the fog…every morning he was alert and happy, talkative, making jokes…He was able to concentrate on things that he wanted to do around the house and in the yard and stay on task, whereas before coconut oil he was easily distractible and rarely accomplished anything unless he was directly supervised.”
Over the course of a year, his dementia reversed itself. He was able to run again, his reading comprehension improve dramatically, and memory improved. An MRI proved his brain atrophy had completely stopped.
Dr. Newport’s finding on the relationship between coconut oil and Alzheimer’s saved more than one life. If word of her study spreads, it could help millions of degenerative disease patients reverse their conditions more effectively and more frugally than with pharmaceuticals. The drug trial Dr. Newport had examined used a coconut oil-based drug, but its effects still only lasted 3 hours compared to the 8 hours from moderately-priced, non-hydrogenated, store-bought coconut oil.

Natural Brain Foods

This isn’t the first time natural methods have been shown to be more effective than pharmaceuticals at preventing dementia. Nr 313 Say goodbye to bad breath, plaque and bacteria in your mouth with just one ingredient

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic method for detox and rejuvenation. It’s a simple practice, with quite remarkable results. Many have heard of it, but never actually dove in to try it. It definitely has a mystical and exciting vibe around it, which made me eager to try. But what exactly is it? What does it do?

In a (coco)nut Shell:



To oil pull, simply swish your choice of unrefined, high quality oil in your mouth; similar to the way you would use a mouthwash. My favorite is coconut oil. This can be done anywhere from five to 20 minutes. The process attracts and removes bacteria, toxins, and parasites that live in your mouth or lymph system, and also pulls congestion and mucus from your throat and loosens up your sinuses, which is amazing!
With the help of your saliva, all these scary undesirables bind with the oil, ready to be disposed of. Pulling also helps re-mineralize your teeth and strengthen your gums by thoroughly cleansing the area. This sounds good, right? But how exactly do you do it?
Traditionally, oil pullers used virgin sesame oil. The reason I prefer to use raw coconut oil is because it has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and enzymatic properties. This provides the added benefit of killing any unwanted bacteria that may be residing in the mouth, while leaving behind healthy probiotic strains. A perfect exchange!
To start, scoop ½ to 1 full tablespoon of oil into the mouth; if it’s cold, allow the oil to melt. Now push, swirl, and pull the oil between your teeth, around your gums, and allow it to touch every part of your mouth except your throat. You don’t want the oil getting in contact with your throat because it’s now carrying somewhat toxic material. No gargling!
